Promoting Health Literacy

Stoke-on-Trent is committed to building capacity in communities, health literacy is about enabling people to take responsibility for their own health, their families health and the communities health and well being.

We will increase access to services and build community competency to practice health promoting, health protecting and disease preventing behaviours alongside self and family care.

A network of information champions and community based information hubs will be developed through the City, alongside the development of Personalised Information Prescriptions.
